Khaz Baruk
Khaz Baruk was originally born Kenil Baruk, son of Ulfgar, a powerful huntsman and warrior; and Jeara, the cheiftan's daughter. His tribe's village was located somewhere in northern Scandinavia just 4 days ride from Hurstwic.
In his 13th winter he took his trials into manhood, and though he was defeated in every trial he showed an immense amount of bravery in standing up to foes stronger, faster and more skillful than him. Unforunately, it was not enough, and he was outcast for his lack of combat skills and foolhardy fighting and blind rage. He would take on any number of people who came at him; or start a fight if he felt his opponent, in his words, "had it coming".
Since he had no land, no trade, and felt as though his father was ashamed of him, he would often head into the wild for weeks at a time to hunt and bring to the village what he could to prove himself time after time. On one of these trips he returned to find his village was nothing more than a pile of ash. All that was found was the cloak of his grandfather the chieftan, and the hammer of his father -- and tracks in the snow, leading into the distance. Horses.
He packed up what goods he could carry, took the hammer and cloak, and headed in the direction of the horse tracks. Though quickly disappearing under new snow, the tracks gave him a direction to travel. In just a few short days he lost the trail altogether. He continued his trek through the wild, encountering many foes along the way. He stopped in every village, town or city he found on the way to ask anyone he saw for any knowledge they possessed of the barbarian tribes of the north.
Finally one day, he found out that some would-be king from a neighboring country ordered the annihilation of the "creatures" in the Northern lands. In his moment of rage he mauled the man who had given him the information and set fire to this town. As he stood there, watching the town become ash, the same state as he once found his home in, he asked himself what the cause of all of it was.
He later adopted the alias of Khaz. Once again wandering the wild, not sure really of what he was looking for, until one day he stumbled across a small place called Falcon Tor. He decided it was finally time to settle down for a little while and made his new home amongst the warriors of these lands.
Baron Lorell Theldarin
Lorell Theldarin is the son of Galen Theldarin, the Paladin. His mother, Lynnette was a Healer. He was raised in the Kingdom of the Rising Winds. His home, Falcon Tor, was located in the Duchy of Tal Dagore.
Galen was Lord of Falcon Tor during the Great War with the northern barbarians. Galen was also Master of the Green Dragoons, a fighting company then based in Falcon Tor. Galen was assassinated by one of the honorless northern dogs.
Lorell was still young then, barely 18 winters old. He was made Lord of Falcon Tor, like his father before him. It was a heavy burden for one so young. He ruled justly, with the help of his dear friend Master Lujako.
The war went on for years. In time, Lord Lorell ascended the throne of Tal Dagore. It was near the end of his reign that Lorell led the army of Tal Dagore in the Battle of Aux-Vasse Pass. The victory gained there was the beginning of the end of the long war. The Great Cesar of the Rising Winds, Deckland, rewarded Lorell for his loyalty and valor.
Lorell was elevated to the noble rank of Baron and styled a master warrior. It was at this time that Baron Lorell stepped down from the Tal Dagore throne, passing the mantle of responsibility to Konrad of the Bull clan. On a day that had been filled with honors, Lorell was honored still further. His Grace, Duke Konrad awarded Lorell the Order of the Garter and the Order of the Yeoman; the former for valor in combat, and the latter for skilled archery in combat.
His Excellency, Baron Lorell Theldarin has now come full circle, and come home. He is once again Lord of Falcon Tor.
Madia Blackfalcon
On The 31st day, of the 10th month, of the year 1096 A.D., I, Madia Blackfalcon, was born in the kingdom of Aragon, Spain, in the city of Saragossa.
When I was 7 years of age I began to wonder where my father had really disappeared to. Everyone I knew told me that he just ... disappeared. I didn't believe them, because I knew that my father, a Captain of the Bishops Guard, wouldn't just disappear! At 8 years of age, I ran away from my mother, Sabina, and my grandfather, a powerful spice merchant. I crossed the border into France, looking for a city where my father was rumored to have been born, Toulouse.
I met a friend of my father's, a traveling Scout, by the name of Valentine. I became his apprentice for some time and I travelled with him. When we arrived in Toulouse, I was laughed at and mocked for trying to find my father, Rammork. Everyone seemed to have given up all hope on his life. I continued traveling with Valentine, and I learned a fair amount of archery, swordsmanship, healing, music, tales and poems.
By 1106 A.D. I was 10 years of age and had traveled through France, the German empire, and throughout Holy Rome. I talked to Bishop John of Rome and found out that the ship my father was on disappeared at sea somewhere off the coast of Sicily. I decided to travel to Sicily, but I couldn't find a ship at the time, So I traveled instead to Tunis, Africa.
When I arrived in Tunis, I was 12 years of age and the year was 1108 A.D. I traveled through the eastern and western desert, then through the Sahara. A very terrible sandstorm hit the area near Algiers, Africa and I was knocked out and lost in the sand. I awoke in Falcon Tor, where I finally found my father, the famous Rammork Blackfalcon.
Sir Rammork Blackfalcon
Rammork Blackfalcon was born in Toulouse, France in 1068. He was the second son of Raimond II, the governor. Due to his status as second son, he was expected to enter the priesthood, yet he choose to enter the militia of the City of Saragossa in neighboring Aragon (Spain). Rammork later went to Ephesus via Peloponnesus to learn the fighting style of the ancient Spartans. He returned to Saragossa and married a local merchant's daughter and took the position of Captain of the Bishop's guard.
He was later charged with the duty of escorting monks on first crusades in 1095. The ship he was traveling on encountered a strange storm and he awoke in the Burning Lands with no fellow travelers about.
During his time in the Burning Lands he became the fourth member of The Wandering Unicorns and Squire to King Heimdale, in his first term as king. During King Heimdale's second term Rammork was knighted by King Heimdale against the wishes of his fellow knights. This caused a rift in the world. Sir Rammork, King Heimdale and Lord Tristan (the first Monk), left the Burning Lands and spent many years traveling.
When they returned, Sir Rammork found himself in Falcon Tor with his daughter Madia BlackFalcon.
